Effective date: 6 September 2026

This notice explains how ToolPixy (toolpixy.com) processes personal data. Details of cookies, local storage and similar technologies are in the Cookie Policy.

1. Data controller

The controller of personal data processed through ToolPixy is:

New Habits E.r.a.r.
Camino del Mar, 47
38390, Spain

Email: ask@toolpixy.com
Phone: 3296521030

For any request about personal data protection, contact the controller using the details above.

2. About ToolPixy

ToolPixy is a free online platform with tools for designers, creatives, students and anyone working with images, graphics and PDF documents.

You can generally use the service without creating an account or registering.

ToolPixy is a free project supported by advertising, in particular Google AdSense, and by voluntary PayPal donations.

This policy explains which data may be processed, for which purposes, on which legal bases, and which rights you have.

3. Personal data that may be processed

The data involved depends on how you use ToolPixy.

3.1 Data you provide voluntarily

If you contact us (email or site forms) we may process:

  • name or identifier you give;
  • email address;
  • content of the message;
  • any other information you include.

We use this to handle and reply to your request.

3.2 Technical and browsing data

During normal browsing, systems may process, where available:

  • IP address;
  • browser type and version;
  • operating system and device type;
  • date and time of access;
  • pages visited;
  • information needed for security and operation of the site.

Some of this is processed by the hosting provider, by the CookieYes CMP and, if you consented, by Google and advertising partners.

3.3 Files used with the tools

Many tools let you select, convert, compress or edit files.

Where technically possible, processing happens directly in your browser, on your device, without sending the file to ToolPixy’s servers.

If a tool needs a transfer to a server or an external service, we indicate this in the tool interface or its information.

Please do not upload particularly sensitive information or third-party documents unless necessary.

3.4 Data stored only on your device

ToolPixy may store in your browser, via local storage:

  • the language you chose (toolpixy_language);
  • drafts from the text/vector studios (toolpixy_studio-*), if you use those features.

This stays on the device. ToolPixy does not receive a copy of your files this way.

4. Purposes of processing

  • provide and maintain the tools;
  • ensure technical operation and security;
  • reply to requests and manage communications;
  • prevent fraud, abuse and attacks;
  • display, measure and manage advertising;
  • personalise ads only where allowed and according to your preferences;
  • remember essential preferences (language, cookie consent);
  • comply with the law and defend the controller’s rights.

5. Legal bases

Depending on the case, processing may be based on:

  • performance of a service or of your request;
  • a legal obligation;
  • the controller’s legitimate interest (security, abuse prevention, technical operation);
  • consent, where required (non-essential cookies, personalised advertising).

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

6. Advertising, Google AdSense and CookieYes

ToolPixy is free and supported by advertising.

The site uses Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies, identifiers and device information to serve ads, measure them, cap frequency, prevent fraud and, where allowed, personalise them.

For users in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, activities that require consent only take place after your choice.

Google requires publishers that serve personalised ads in the EEA/UK/CH to use a certified CMP and IAB Europe’s Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF). ToolPixy uses CookieYes for this.

You can change or withdraw preferences from the banner or the Cookie Policy.

Google information: Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from partner sites, AdSense Help.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, local storage and similar technologies. Details (types, duration, providers, how to refuse) are in the Cookie Policy.

In short:

  • Necessary — consent, language, security, operation. No consent required.
  • Advertising — Google AdSense and partners. Only after consent where the law requires it.

We must not activate marketing cookies before a valid choice. Scrolling or simply continuing to browse is not valid consent.

8. Consent management

CookieYes lets you accept, refuse or customise categories, and see purposes and vendors (including the TCF list).

Accept and reject are presented equivalently: refusing is not made harder than accepting.

9. Disclosure to third parties

The controller does not sell personal data.

Data may be processed by providers when needed to run ToolPixy, including:

  • hosting and infrastructure;
  • security and IT services;
  • CookieYes (consent management);
  • Google and advertising partners;
  • PayPal, only if you choose to donate;
  • CDN providers of technical libraries (pdf.js, Tesseract and similar) used to run tools in the browser;
  • advisers and public authorities where required by law.

10. International transfers

Some providers (Google, CookieYes, CDNs) may process data outside the EEA. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used (adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or other measures).

11. Retention

  • communications: for as long as needed to handle the request and a reasonable period afterwards;
  • technical and security logs: for as long as useful for security;
  • data subject to legal duties: for the statutory period;
  • data based on consent: until withdrawal, unless another legal basis applies;
  • cookie preferences: for the period stated in the Cookie Policy (usually 12 months).

12. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures. No computer system or internet transmission is completely secure.

13. Your rights

Within the limits of applicable law you may request confirmation and access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, data portability where applicable, withdrawal of consent, objection to direct marketing, and rights related to profiling or automated decisions where they apply.

14. How to exercise your rights

Write to ask@toolpixy.com, stating the right you wish to exercise and enough information to identify the request. We will reply within the legal time limits.

15. Complaints

You may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

The controller is established in Spain: Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD) — https://www.aepd.es/

You may also contact the authority of your country of residence or work (for example the ICO in the UK, or your national DPA in the EU).

16. Children

ToolPixy is not designed to collect children’s personal data unlawfully. If we become aware of processing that is not allowed, we will take reasonable steps to address it.

17. Links to third-party sites

The site may contain links to third parties (Google, PayPal, CookieYes). We do not control how they process data: please read their notices.

18. Changes

We may update this notice if tools, providers or the law change. The updated version is published on this page with a new date.
